To raise awareness about the urgent need for organ donation in India, where 500,000 people lose their lives every year while waiting for organ transplants. By educating the public about this issue, we wanted to inspire a collective effort to address the shortage of organ donors and encourage more people to pledge as donors to save more lives.
Launched the ‘NDTV Fortis Walkathon’ as a national healthcare CSR initiative, using social media to promote organ donation awareness. The event was a key platform to engage communities across India.
Initiated online discussions to highlight the importance of organ donation and Fortis’ support for the cause. Shared posts, videos, and infographics to educate people about the organ shortage and the impact of becoming a donor.
Created trending conversations on Twitter, encouraging users in five metro cities and the NCR to join the cause and pledge as organ donors. Hashtags like #MoreToGive and #DonateLife was used to boost the movement.
Partnered with influencers across India to amplify the message and motivate their followers to participate in the walkathon and pledge to donate organs.
